Bermuda - The Niceties

Bermudans are big on good manners and mutual respect. They will definitely be a little put out if approached and questioned without so much as a hello or good morning. When interacting with waiters, store clerks and anyone else in public service, always look them in the eye, pay attention to what they’re saying, and talk directly to them; it’s all a part of good manners Bermudian style.

In Bermuda, gentlemen still give up their seats to ladies when traveling on a crowded bus. Remain seated while a lady has to stand, and you’re sure to garner a scornful look or two.
