Grape Bay Beach Hotel Bermuda
Grape Bay Beach Hotel (formerly White Sands & Cottages) is a secluded Bermuda retreat, extensively renovated and given new life as the Grape Bay Beach Hotel.
Two classes of rooms are available: the Garden View rooms have balconies and offer a choice of either king beds or 2 doubles. The Superior Rooms offer spectacular ocean views of the Atlantic; most have king sized beds.
The main lobby and all rooms have received a nice facelift; the poolside snack bar was converted to a first class restaurant, Sapori, that serves three meals daily. While the hotel is set in landscaped gardens, the Grape Bay Beach is a short stroll away. There is a large freshwater pool and a sun terrace, all within easy reach of Hamilton and nearby golf courses.
The hotel is on the South Road bus route to both Hamilton and the Royal Naval Dockyard. It’s a bit of a walk to the bus stop but the hotel does offer shuttle service to it.
Verdict: a budget hotel and you get exactly what you pay for. The rooms are spacious and clean and you'll enjoy wonderful ocean view. It's very quiet and relaxing. Not quite up to the standard of the more pricy of Bermuda's offering, but fair value for money.
