Bermuda's Beaches - St. George's Parish

Tobacco Bay Park (Coot Pond Road) This is another popular spot with locals. The highlight is the Tobacco Bay Beach Pavilion (right on the beach), where you can rent all sorts of equipment and conveniences such as loungers ($2/ hour), beach umbrellas ($5/day)
and snorkeling gear ($12/two hours). Also available are fast food and soft drinks, changing rooms and bathrooms. The beach itself, although small and sometimes crowded, is considered safe for
all members of the family and has lots of shallow water. Offshore, the rocks make for great snorkeling: plenty of color and life in the form of sergeant majors, parrotfish, jacks, blue and yellow grunts, angels, butterfly fish and wrasse.

Other Beaches

Several other beaches around the island are worth mentioning: St. Catherine’s Beach on the eastern shore of St. George’s; Clearwater Beach on Mercury Road (also in St. George’s); and Coral Beach and Marley Beach on the South Shore, both located between Astwood Park and Elbow Beach.
