Bermuda's Beaches - Sandy's Parish

Parson’s Bay (Lagoon Park, Lagoon Road) A sheltered area of each popular with the locals as a picnic spot. It’s not near a bus stop, so you’ll need to get there on your bike or moped. You’ll find it on Lagoon Road just before it becomes Craddock Road. The strip has white sand and the area is usually quiet.

Mangrove Bay (Mangrove Bay Road) Just a short distance from the
shopping area in Somerset Village. It’s a favorite with the locals,
but is usually quiet enough during the week for a picnic,
some sun and a swim. The swimming is considered safe,
but it’s always best to keep an eye on the young kids. It’s a picturesque strip with mangroves that line the beach and follow
the gentle curve of the shoreline.

Somerset Long Bay Park Beach (Daniel’s Head Road,Somerset Village) One of the nicest public parks on the islands. Reminiscent of
the traditional English village green, it’s where the locals of Somerset Village take time out on weekends for a picnic and the eternal English game of cricket. Then there’s the beach, also popular as a picnic spot, with its long, sweeping shoreline, white sand and shallow waters. The swimming here is safe for kids – at low tide the water is rarely deep enough to give concern. During the week, you can count on having most of the beach to yourself. Long walks, hot sun, snorkeling
and lazy days make this the ideal spot to get away from it all. Restrooms are available in the park.
