Fairmont Southampton Golf Course Bermuda
The Fairmont Southampton Golf Course is something of a gem. A par-3 layout that features 18 challenging short holes, and one of Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play Golf for 2002. The course ranges over some of the most dramatic elevation changes on the island. I played this testing little course a couple of years back now, and I remember it to be a tough little beast, and a lot of fun, too.
The 2,684-yard, par 54 course is a bit of a thinker. You have to know your short game inside and out, because club selection is the key to scoring well on the Fairmont Southampton Golf Course. And those choices can change from day to the next, depending upon the prevailing wind, which always blows, and varies in strength from day-to-day – you never know quite what you’re going to get. Three sets of tees offer even more choices. I loved the course and I heartily recommend it.
