Nautilus Diving Ltd., at the Southampton Princess Hotel,
Southampton, Bermuda, operates
daily April through November, including holidays, from 8:30
am until 5 pm. They offer the following choices:
- Resort Course is an introduction to scuba
diving. You’ll learn the basics in the pool and
then dive from a boat over a shallow reef under
the supervision of your instructor. Courses are
offered daily at 9:30 am and 2 pm, last for about
three hours, and cost $75, which includes
equipment.
- Scuba Dive is a one-tank dive in the morning to
a depth of 30 feet, or an afternoon dive over a
shipwreck to a depth of 50 feet. The excursion is
suitable both for experienced divers and beginners.
Trips leave daily at 11 am and 2 pm, last
for about an hour and a half, and cost $40 per
person (including equipment).
- Shallow Reef Dive is the same as the above listing.
Trips leave daily at 3 pm and cost $55.
- Two-Tank Dive departs at 9:30 am, takes
you to a shipwreck, lasts for about two hours,
and costs $65 (includes the use of equipment).
- Snorkeling Trips depart daily at 11 am for a
shallow reef. They last for about an hour and a
half and cost $20; use of equipment is included.
There is a reduction of $10 to the rates quoted above for divers
using their own equipment. All dives are conducted
from a 40-foot boat and the dive sites are about a seven-minute
boat ride from the shore. Group charters and night dives
