Snorkeling and sightseeing cruises leave the dock at Darrell’s Wharf aboard Minnow at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm and last for a minimum of 3½ hours. During the cruise
you’ll visit several beachy coves and pass through Somerset Bridge to a snorkel site that’s suited to your ability. Equipment and instruction is provided, along with a complimentary soda or a freshly-made swizzle on the return trip. You can bring along a boxed lunch or the skipper will make a stop at a waterside restaurant. The cruise
has a maximum capacity of 10 persons and costs $40 per person, which includes the use of snorkeling gear.

This company offers a number of sightseeing cruises as well as their Snorkeling and Glass Bottom Boat Cruise, which departs twice daily Monday through Saturday at 9:30 am and 1 pmfrom the dock next to the ferry terminal on Front Street in Hamilton. In the morning you’ll board the 65-foot Ovation and cruise to the West End of Bermuda,
where you’ll view the Sea Gardens through the glass bottom and snorkel if you wish. The afternoon cruise takes you first to the inner reef and then on to the outer reef; you can snorkel at both sites. Complimentary sodas and rum swizzles are provided (coffee on the morning trip). There are changing facilities onboard and underwater
cameras are available for rent. There’s also a full cash bar, live calypso music, and you can get a hot dog and chips as well. The cost of either trip is $40 per person, and you’ll be out for about 3½ hours. Other cruises include a day-long Lunch, Shopping, Sightseeing, Glass Bottomand Snorkeling Cruise for $59 per person. Joffre Pittman’s Fathom departs Somerset Bridge twice daily at 9:45 am and 1:45 pm for a four-hour snorkelingcruise. You’ll ride out five miles to the fringe reef where you can snorkel over the coral and shipwrecks. Complimentary instruction is available; all necessary equipment is provided; and there are changing facilities and restrooms onboard. Just bring a swimsuit and a towel. No children under the age of five. The price is $45.

SALT KETTLE YACHT CHARTERS LTD., at Salt Kettle in Paget, 441-236-3612, operates from mid-May through mid-October. The Snorkeling Adventure departs twice daily aboard Magic Carpet, a 35-foot Flybridge cruiser, Monday through Friday at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm, and on Saturdays at 9:30 only, to cruise and snorkel the reef. The crew provides snorkeling instruction and a guided tour of the
reef. A second stop includes snorkeling over two shipwrecks. All necessary equipment is provided – just bring your swimsuit and a towel – along with complimentary soft drinks and rum swizzles. The four-hour cruise costs $45 per person.
