Sail Bermuda is a charter sailing and snorkeling company located in Paget, Bermuda. They offer the opportunity to leave the hustle and bustle of the real world far behind and as they “whisk you away on turquoise waters, into a paradise you’ll never forget. You’ll think you’re dreaming as we slip through tranquil lagoons and inlets, with only the sounds of wind in the rigging, and Longtails chirping overhead.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Sailing is, without doubt, the most relaxing way of spending long, lazy days out on the water. Sail Bermuda specializes in customized charter sailing and snorkeling adventures aboard their beautiful yacht, “Shekynah”.
The blurb says: “Here at Sail Bermuda, we don’t do “cattle cruises”, and you won’t find any pirates or scallywags on our boat! Our clients charter us because we’re a cut above the rest. They came to Bermuda to escape the rat race, to beat the crowd, not join one.
Shekynah is a 51 ft. Morgan ketch rig, built in Florida in 1976. It’s big enough to accommodate up to 25 passengers; it’s shallow keel allows the boat to go where others cannot, up close and personal to Bermuda’s sub-aquatic wildlife, and that makes it the perfect yacht for charter sailing in Bermuda.
Equipped with snorkel gear for everyone, Shekynah has ample deck space for sun bathing and “lounging with book in one hand and cocktail in the other.” If you prefer the shade however, Shekynah has plenty of that too; she even has a fresh water deck shower for rinsing off after snorkeling. Don’t like to snorkel? Prefer sailing to swimming? Terrific, Shekynah is at her best under sail, with plenty of canvas to make headway in even the slightest breeze. Whether sailing, snorkeling, partying, or just watching the sun go down, Shekynah is the perfect boat for charter sailing in Bermuda!
