Of course, you’ll want to know where to buy those duty-free libations. There are, as you can imagine, a large number of outlets for bottled goods, but the one that comes first to mind is Burrows Lightbourne Ltd. There are seven locations, the prime one being on Front Street in Hamilton, and there are others in St. George, Paget and Flatts Village. All offer prices significantly lower than you might expect to pay. Burrows carries a wide assortment of the finest from Scotland, Canada, France, Germany and other points around the globe. Most of the best single malt scotches are available, and they range in price from the very reasonable to the very expensive, even taking into account that all are duty-free. One point to remember: you need to know what your duty-free allowance is. For instance, travelers going home to the United States are allowed to take in only one liter of liquor per adult person, and one liter of wine.
